Frank Rich on Gunner Palace

I’m still waiting for Michael Tucker and Petra Epperlein’s documentary, Gunner Palace, to reach Atlanta (I think it’s coming in the next month or so, but Frank Rich has an article about it in The New York Times that I didn’t want to lose. It’s a good read if you’re interested in the topic of how war is represented in film and on TV.

I think Rich is one of the most interesting writers the Times has. I was so disappointed when he left the Ed-Op page, but I feel some compensation from the longer articles he now pens for the A&L section.

Yes, I’ve been planning to write a blog entry since December singing the praises of Frank Rich. The longer columns in the A&L section are really good, some of the best mainstream writing I’ve seen on politics and culture since the election.
