Miranda July Interview

Here’s a Green Cine interview with Miranda July, writer-director-star of Me and You and Everyone We Know. Now that I’ve had a few days to reflect on the film, I’m convinced that it’s simply an amazing film (link via Wiley Wiggins).

This film made me enjoy living my life again. Honestly, it has such a unique way of drawing you into its world of characters, and it’s a world that you’ll not want to leave behind, nor will you be able to for long. I am so taken by this film that I feel like my own perception of life has not only been fully acknowledged but has been enriched and expanded as well. The risks that Miranda July took have clearly paid off in this amazing tale of modern culture and connectivity.

Kristan, glad to hear that others enjoyed this film as much (or more) than I did. Rather than following the direction of a film like “Crash” and suggesting that these random encounters are doomed to misunderstanding, July has a much fresher take.

Kristan, I just noted your comments on the Miranda July film. I am taken by your observation on the theme of connectivity.
